The government’s National Career Service offers free and impartial information, advice and guidance to help you with your decisions about careers, courses and work.

As its name suggest, UCAS - Explore jobs allows you to explore different jobs and pathways to your career: by job family, by subject, or by skill-set.

+ Simple interface with well-summarised information

- Less detail

Prospects.ac.uk is the UK's biggest graduate careers website. Search for apprenticeships, graduate jobs, internships and postgraduate courses, and use to get careers advice written by specialists, as well as tools such as their career planner, which matches skills and interests with job profiles to suit you.

+ Detailed info regarding many career paths

- Aimed more at current university students, but still very useful for many explorations


UNIVERSITIES & APPRENTICESHIPS (POST-GCSE & A-LEVEL)

UCAS stands for Universities and Colleges Admissions Service. It's the centralised service that students use to apply to university. It is a great resource for exploring options after GCSE and A-levels and, if applying through UCAS, the place to create, submit, and track your application.

Amazing Apprenticeships promotes the benefits of apprenticeships and technical education and works closely with the DfE. Offers wide range of knowledge, stories, advice and vacancy listings for current apprenticeships and degree apprenticeships. Their biannual Higher & Degree Listings can be very useful.

RateMyApprenticeship.co.uk is a useful hub for exploring apprenticeships at all levels. It offers information, advice, and guidance on securing the best apprenticeships available to students post-GCSE and post-A-level.
